STATUS —->        In operation since June 2014

SCDTL-1 accelerates the injector beam from 7 MeV to 11.6 MeV

This structure has been realized during ISPAN project. It has been machined by CECOM company and was brazed by SIT-NRT company. It is equipped with its own chiller that keeps temperature stable within 0.2°C around 42°C in such a way that the resonant frequency is exactly 2.99792 GHz.

To be more precise, a motorized mechanical tuner can regulate the frequency within 60 kHz with a resolution well below 10 kHz

SCDTL-1 is composed of 9 tanks with 4 cells /tank. In the intertank space PMQs are placed. Two ion pumps keep the vacuum around 1 e-7 torr.
