SCDTL-4

STATUS —->        In operation since June 2017

SCDTL-4 accelerates  SCDTL-3 beam from 27 MeV to 35 MeV

As for the other SCDTL modules, the mechanics will be done by CECOM srl, and Brazing, welding sealing and mounting by TSC srl. ENEA will perform tuning and works direction.

This module is composed of 5 tanks, with 5 drift tubes and 6 gaps per tank.

Tuning screws have been made larger than those odf the previous modules, but many other main choices are the same.

Some adjustments have been done on the aluminum table supporting the structure, and on the PMQ supports.

Oscilloscope pulses: left traces: Cavity fields in SCDTL modules (a.u.): yellow –1, blue –2, magenta –3, green -4 ; Right traces: yellow SCDTL input current 1mA/V; blue Ouput current (1mA/V) (Current transformer); magenta reflected power SCDTL-4 (a.u.)

green Ouput current after 5.2 mm-Aluminum (20uA/mV) faraday cup.

Measurements on Microwave Bench: Electric field on structure axis
